Epitaph Two: Return - Dollhouse [Season 2, Episode 13] Review after the jump, in keeping with the no-spoiler policy for this crazy, crazy show that everyone will continue to ignore until fans start passing the DVDs around. Oh man, I loved pretty much every minute of this! The way that extreme budget cuts forced this episode to go handheld and thus completely change the series’ visual...

Bryan Burk: I was on the mixing stage, finishing [Sayid's first episode]. And as scripted, at the end of the episode, Sayid is walking through the jungle, and he starts hearing whispers. And it's now seven o'clock, I'm an hour over, I gotta finish the mix. And I get a call from the network. "Under no circumstances do we want to hear the whispers."
Damon Lindelof: And you've got Naveen Andrews onscreen going like this... [looks around, terrified]
Bryan Burk: …for no reason! And I said "Guys, there's going to be wind, there's going to be other things, but here's the thing—if you don't hear the whispers, there's going to be an actor just looking around and acting crazy for no reason." Sal Not Returning For Mad Men's Fourth Season →
Really disappointing upon first hearing the news, but after last season’s fanservice-filled finale, I don’t know if I could take more crazy maneuvering on the part of the writers to bring back a beloved character. Maybe if Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce goes horribly wrong and ends up destroying the lives and wealth of all involved to the point where the show is near-unrecognizable, it...
